1. Click “Apply Now” to link to the online application. This will take you to the backpack login page. Once logged in, you will find “Apply to a Program” on the menu on the left side of the page. The application will be available from early October 2019 through December 20, 2019. Out-of-county students who are accepted must pay yearly tuition.

2. An arts teacher, usually someone who has worked closely with you, will be sent an email with a link to complete the online recommendation portion of the application. Please let your recommender know that the email with the link will be sent to them after the application closes on December 20th. Out-of-county, private, home, and charter school students will need to have their school or home school association send a copy of grades to the Fine Arts Center.

3. Attend an audition/portfolio review/interview at the Fine Arts Center at which time you will be evaluated in your art area. Please note: you may audition for more than one area but will need to choose only one area if offered multiple positions. The interviews will be held in January for classes that will meet the following school year. You must attend the audition /interview in order to be considered for enrollment. Audition/interview dates are listed on the handout for the specific art area.

4. Following these application procedures has made an important difference in the lives and careers of many students in the upstate.
